Date1961DescriptionThe Stardust Hotel was official opened on 5th December 1961. The Biz reported that there was a gala ceremony attended by Parliamentarians, civic leaders, and members of the Chamber of Commerce.

The lounge of the hotel, which can accommodates
1000 people, was the biggest in the State in 1961.

The £220,000 Hotel/Motel project, which comprise of 10 motel accommodation units (built at the rear of the hotel); each unit had its own bathroom, toilet and bedroom.

The Manager of the Stardust Hotel-Motel was Mr. Jim
