Geoffrey Caban and Bruce Hart have capture the aspirations and achievements, the tragedies and disappointments of families from eighteen different countries. Both new and long time residents of Fairfield are represented, along with a diversity of cultures, religions and experiences.

Hidden Heritage is an absorbing testimony to the nature of a nation of migrants and should be read by all who seek a better understanding of Australia's heritage and future.
As one of the individuals in the book explains, "We have to be proud of our own heritage, or we will not be able to respect the heritage of others."
