This book tells much of the history of council as it relates the stories of more than 130 aldermen, and just one woman. The stories of the town clerks of the early councils are also included. The publication refers to a number of sources: council minutes and newspapers articles; Australian War Memorial and Archive records; the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages; the Ryerson Index, books and booklets, internet websites and communication with some descendants of these aldermen.Copyright Owner(s)Fairfield City Council AccessAccess open for research.
