DescriptionDocumentary photographer Helene Cochaud was selected to be the first Fairfield City Photographer when the program launched in 2021.

This annual program aims to capture the people and places of Fairfield City today, creating a record for the future through a growing collection of photographs.

Taken over a three-month period from December 2021 to February 2022, Fairfield Scene celebrates and recognises the Fairfield community and their valuable contribution to Sydney.

The project outcomes are displayed in three stages:

Stage 1: An exhibition at Whitlam Library, Cabramatta with a selection of street photography shots

Stage 2: An online photo essay telling the stories of eleven people working in the Fairfield LGA

Stage 3: A large scale installation at Fairfield's Crescent Plaza
