AuthorKim TaoPublication Year2006Published byFairfield City Museum and GalleryDescriptionThis book has been published in conjunction with the exhibition Bodgies, Westies & Homies: Growing Up in Western Sydney at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, 6 October – 26 November 2006.
The exhibition and book are components of the Growing Up in Western Sydney Project, a social history project that aims to explore the concept of being young in 2006, with comparisons from previous generations who grew up in the 1950s-1960s.
The collaborative nature of the project has given local youth the opportunity to use art and film to express themselves creatively and address both the stereotypes and realities of growing up in Western Sydney.
The objectives of the project could not have been achieved without the assistance of community members, local students and community workers, or without the generous financial support of Arts NSW and Fairfield City Council.Copy rightsFairfield City Council
