DescriptionIn 1985 the giant BKK supermarket complex opened, and Cabramatta became an Asian shopping paradise filled with imported goods from Taiwan, Thailand and China. The complex is owned by the Ma Family, a family of 7 with Chinese ancestry (Teochew). The Ma family eventually acquired two major properties in Sydney - Eastlakes Shopping Centre and the BKK Shopping Centre at Cabramatta.
