Date31/05/1989DescriptionImage shows John Phillip sitting by a temporary office desk with his correspondences at the Cabramatta Hostels.
John Phillip, a low income worker, is fighting the State Government over their plan to pull down twenty year old hostels in Cabramatta that once used to house British immigrants.
Mr Phillip sees this as a waste of tax payers money and believes that renovation of the existing buildings would be a better idea. To stop and protest against the government, he has been living in one of the hostels for the last six weeks. PhotographerDavid PorterNotesROGERS-www.johnrogersarchice.com
