courtyards, as people believed that to touch them could bring good luck. The tortoise bears a stele with inscriptions to commemorate people or events.
1n 1986 the Cabramatta Beatification Association was formed by local business and cultural associations.
The beautification project included planting of golden robina trees, installation of oriental objects such as Chinese lanterns, silken banners, and stone sculptures, brick paving, etc...
