She attended Nemingha Public School and then Tamworth High School.
Her father John MacTavish and mother Sarah Jane McInnis were married on 1919 the same year that they settled in Australia from Scotland. She had three younger brothers, Hugh, George and Donald.
Christina married Clifford Dermott Eddy (Cliff) on 20th September 1947 and moved to the Fairfield area in 1947 where their daughter Christine Margaret was born in 1948.
Christina helped establish the Fairfield Meals-on-Wheels service and continued to work there for 35 years. She also volunteered at the Fairfield City Museum and Gallery.
She was a member of the Fairfield Auxiliary for 30 years, worked as a secretary and president of the lawn bowls sector of the St Johns Park Bowling Club section until it closed.
