DescriptionImage of a weatherboard home of the Hirst Family. The house was located on the current site of Arthur Street, fronting Railway Parade. This house has since been demolished.
The family moved to Mallee St, Cabramatta in the later years (1960).
NotesThe Hirst Brothers owned two sawmills, one at Fairfield and the other at Cabramatta. The Fairfield timber mill in Smithfield Street (Court Road) is now the site of the courthouse while the Cabramatta site is now occupied by Woolworths. The sawmill on Railway Parade, Cabramatta operated for more than 60 years.
