The second image shows workmen standing and working on the bridge (this image was also featured in the Biz on 15 August 1962). NotesThe existing wooden bridge was replaced by a concrete bridge. The new bridge span 105 feet across Prospect Creek and featured a 24-foot-wide roadway and 2 six-foot footpaths.
The bridge was built by Fairfield Council engineers at the cost of £18,000. The project was funded by Fairfield and Holroyd Councils and opened in September 1962.
