"The Moon Festival marked the culmination of a year spent immersed in the world of lion dancing. In the heart of Cabramatta, beneath the glowing lanterns of the Lion’s Den, the teams came together—not as competitors but as a community bound by shared rhythm and purpose.
Each group stepped forward, their lions alive with sequins and light, moving in harmony honed through months of sweat and late-night practice. The kids who once stumbled through their first steps now commanded the stage, their movements sharp, confident, and full of fire. Their energy was electric, spilling into the crowd and lighting faces with awe.
There was something unspoken in the air — a reverence as each team performed, their drumming blending into one resounding heartbeat. Teachers stood at the edges, faces softened with pride, as their students leapt and spun in arcs of colour.
The night was a kaleidoscope of energy and emotion. Laughter echoed from behind the curtains, cheers erupted from the crowd, and the drums — always the drums — seemed to carry the weight of it all. This wasn’t just a celebration of lion dancing; it was a celebration of growth, of resilience, and of the unbreakable ties within this vibrant, ever-evolving community."PhotographerClinton Ngo Nguyen Geolocation[1] Lion’s Den and Pai Lau Gate
