The Honorary Janice Crosio was a Smithfield resident and the first woman in Australia to hold positions in all three levels of government. Ms Crosio was the Mayor of Fairfield, then held office as a New South Wales parliamentary member and was the Federal Member for Prospect, the position from which she retired from in 2004.
